FEAR Exposed
It’s no secret that the world as we know it has experienced serious turmoil these previous few years. Uncertainty has shaken individuals, families, groups, and nations to its chore, affecting even the most vulnerable, our children.
A few months ago, I had a discussion with my children’s pediatrician and was saddened to discover that she has been consistently counseling children under the age of 10, who are in fear of dying from the pandemic.
My 8-year-old daughter came home from school this past week claiming that during recess, a student from her class has been telling all children on the playground that the world is ending in 2022.
And I have to admit, I myself have pondered over the events circulating media platforms and local government. My husband and I had serious discussions of potentially leaving the current state we live in, and even entertained the various states we thought were the best option for us. We knew it was something we had to pray through, so I began praying about it in my prayer closet and devotional time with the Lord. And that’s when the Holy Spirit began convicting my heart, with a question in return (I’ve learned that God often answers a question with another question.)
“Who is telling you, you have to leave?? You already know my voice when you come here, to hear me… Do you know the only other voice out there besides mine, is your adversaries?”
And as I thought about it, it was true. Everything I have written about thus far has been about hearing and seeing him, and not the voice of the world. But I myself have been entertaining it all along.
A verse from scripture has immediately been placed on my mind. Where it states that rebellion and disobedience is as witchcraft. I never understood that verse, but suddenly it became clear. If you are not listening to the voice of God, by default, you will hear the voice of fear, which originates from the father of all lies, your enemy. And let me just say, he is speaking very very loudly right now.
Rebelling against God or disobeying him because you are proud is just as bad as worshiping idols or asking them for advice. (1 Sam. 15:23 CEV)
You see, the enemy has sent division to the body of Christ. In a way, he has set us up against each other, in reference to current medical and political views. Yet, I noticed that both sides are still victims of fear, whether they chose to move forward or not. And when we seek God’s council, he will always expose the schemes of the enemy.
…so that Satan will not outsmart us. For we are familiar with his evil schemes. (2 Cor 2:11 NLT)
So you may wonder, what if I don’t know How to hear the voice of God? Begin in your local church. Come expecting to hear from him. The Church is where I first learned to hear his voice, i.e. experience his manifest presence. I came hungry wanting to hear, and he spoke, either through a song, an exhortation, the sermon etc. Your heart will stir within you, and you will know, those words where directly for you.

His presence is guaranteed where two or more are gathered in his name. Too many come to church, present physically but absent in the mind.
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. (Matt.18:20 KJV)
Read the following verse carefully…
And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the LORD. (Jer. 23:4 KJV)
When you hear the voice of God, the voice of the enemy has to flee. When the room is dark, and you turn on the light, the darkness automatically goes.
